The Pho3nix Foundation is excited to announce the return of the Pho3nix Future Camp to Phuket, Thailand from 14th to 18th November 2023. This five-day, fully funded camp brings together 20 exceptionally talented junior athletes from eight nations and three continents and give them access to valuable insight into what it takes to be a professional athlete and achieve success in sport and life.
This year’s edition gathers a diverse group of 9 girls and 11 boys competing in fencing, basketball, running, track and field, rugby, triathlon, swimming, and BMX, representing India, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Turkiye, Tanzania, the United States of America, and Australia. This is the first time the Pho3nix movement welcomes athletes from the sports of fencing and rugby as well as from Singapore, Turkiye, and Tanzania, further showcasing the Foundation’s increasing global reach.
Continuing its mission to equip young athletes with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue future careers in elite sport, Pho3nix Future Camp Phuket will once again be hosted by world-renowned sports figures Commonwealth Games gold and Olympic silver medallist John Steffensen along with 15-time iron distance triathlon champion Belinda Granger.
The supporting roster of world-class mentors and speakers includes Commonwealth Games swimmer and Australian music star Cody Simpson, four-time Triathlon World Champion and Mana Global CEO Chris McCormack, Mana Global Chairman Wojtek Kruczynski, and television host and Mana Global Head of Content Will McCloy.
Pho3nix Foundation founder and business leader Sebastian Kulczyk will also be in attendance, the first time since the inaugural Future Camp in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2021 and his first time in the Asian region where the Pho3nix Foundation has seen some of its greatest growth through its Pho3nix Kids programs. His presence and mentorship underscores Pho3nix’s aim to promote and support sport at every level and inspire generations to rise to their potential and pursue their dreams.
Pho3nix Future Camp Phuket activities and workshops aim to reveal both the physical and mental aspects of professional sport, and include sessions on performance nutrition, goal setting, values and leadership formation, media training, and paying forward in sport. The camp will culminate at the Pho3nix Kids Triathlon Thailand at Blue Tree Phuket on the 19th November where both participants and mentors have opportunity to volunteer and give back to sport and the community.
Pho3nix Future Camp is part of the Pho3nix Future Program, which identifies and assists promising juniors to help them with both athletic and life skills as they pursue a career in professional sport. For more information, visit https://pho3nixfoundation.com/our-activities/pho3nix-future/
