Welcome to Pho3nix Kate Waugh

The Pho3nix Foundation is pleased to welcome two-time triathlon world champion Kate Waugh to the Pho3nix Team, its elite lineup of athlete ambassadors.
The Pho3nix Team are the embodiment of Pho3nix ideals, with a shared commitment to reaching the pinnacle of their sporting careers, inspiring the youth and generations after to get active in sport and chase their dreams.
A vice world champion and two-time European champion while racing in the junior category, Waugh earned her first world championship stripes in 2022 as part of the British mixed relay team and in that same year delivered a breakthrough performance to take her second world title, this time as the individual U23 champion.
The rising star continued to gain momentum in 2023 picking up her first Top 5 finish at a World Triathlon Championship Series race, finishing in second place at the WTCS finale in Pontevedra, taking mixed relay silver at the Paris test event after placing seventh in the individual race, as well as winning the Super League Triathlon Championship Series. She has set her sights on the ultimate sporting stage: the Paris Olympic Games.
Waugh joins an illustrious roster of sports stars including triathlon royalty such as Olympic gold, silver and bronze medalist and six-time world champion Jonathan Brownlee, dual Olympic gold medalist and two-time world champion Alistair Brownlee, Olympic gold and silver medalist and world champion Georgia Taylor-Brown, and Olympic bronze medalist and two-time world champion Vincent Luis.
“The 2012 London Olympics were my childhood Olympics. As a little girl I watched Alistair and Jonny dominate that Olympic Games, so to be on the Pho3nix Team alongside them is really cool,” Waugh says.
“Kate represents the core ethos of what it means to be a Pho3nix: to rise up from the ashes and create triumph through renewal, resilience, and passion,” states Chris McCormack, Pho3nix Foundation board member and Mana Global executive chairman. “In her racing as well as her approach to sport and life she shows a mindset of pursuing pathways through whatever challenges come her way as she chases her dreams. And that’s what makes her such a powerful ambassador for the Pho3nix Foundation.”
Pho3nix Foundation founder Sebastian Kulczyk says the ultimate goal for Pho3nix is to motivate and help children through sport. He adds, “The Pho3nix Team are an inspiration for kids’ aspirations because they’re proof that if you have a dream and work hard and commit to it, you can really achieve it.”
The Pho3nix Foundation draws on the Pho3nix Team to engage in its events, activations, and programs to get children into sport and inspire the next generation. For more information, visit pho3nixfoundation.com.
