Parkour Prodigy Ruben Roldan Sets Guinness World Record

One-legged parkour wonder and Pho3nix Junior Team athlete Ruben Roldan has set a Guinness World Record, continuing to amaze with his feats and now making them official.
The Malaga-born traceur traveled to Milan, Italy to appear on the television talent show ‘The Show of Records (Lo Show Dei Record)’ which is the Italian version of the Ultimate Guinness World Records program.
In front of a live audience and video crew on the 21st February 2024, Roldan made his attempt to perform the most number of consecutive parkour retour jumps between two walls eight feet (2.25 metres) apart. A retour jump involves hanging by the hands facing one wall and using arm, leg and core strength to spring around to grab the opposite wall.
In the first time this record had been officially attempted, Ruben logged an astounding 13 consecutive retour jumps.
He said, “Conditions weren’t the same as when I practiced the challenge, but still I was able to do one more retour than expected.”
But that’s also 13 more retours than abled athletes have ever attempted in front of Guinness World Record adjudicators.
The Pho3nix Foundation is proud to back Roldan through the Pho3nix Junior Team, which supports young athletes on the rise, aiming to bolster the pathway from competing as a junior to making sport a profession.
