Pho3nix Move4Life: Building Life Skills and Futures Through Parkour

5 Sep 2025

For the past three years, Pho3nix Move4Life has been creating new opportunities for children in Thailand to grow through parkour. The program has become a platform for young people to discover movement, build confidence, and learn life skills that extend beyond the course.

At the heart of the program is a structured curriculum developed and overseen by lead coach Jade. Under his guidance, sessions are designed not only to teach safe and progressive parkour skills but also to nurture discipline, focus, and resilience. These qualities help students navigate challenges in their daily lives, giving them tools to succeed in school, relationships, and life.

Weekly parkour classes in underserved communities such as Prasert, Wattatthong, Klongtoey, and Wanglang provide not only equipment but also free meals that support health and athletic growth. The program adapts to children of all abilities, with progressive levels of instruction that ensure every participant feels included and supported. In 2025 a new wave of students began their journey, guided by graduates returning as role models and mentors.

Coach Jade doesn’t just teach vaults, climbs, and landings. He teaches responsibility, decision-making, and perseverance. “Parkour is not just about jumping,” he says. “It’s about learning how to face fear, make choices, and keep moving forward.”

That philosophy is reflected in the way the program shapes lives: students who once lacked self-belief are becoming motivated, conscientious, and hopeful about their futures.

Foam, a 15-year-old from Bangkok’s Klongtoey community, has thrived in this environment. Before joining Pho3nix Move4Life, sport felt out of reach. Now, Foam hasn’t missed a single training session. Parkour is motivating him to stay in school, focus on his personal development, and work toward his goal of becoming gainfully employed. “Parkour taught me that if I don’t give up, I can go farther than I ever imagined,” he said.

Today, Pho3nix Move4Life continues to grow, reaching deeper into disadvantaged communities and introducing hundreds of Thai children to the transformative power of parkour. By blending movement with mentorship, the program is helping a new generation build the confidence and tenacity to thrive on the Parkour course, in the classroom, and in life.
