BIOGRAPHY

John Steffensen is one of Australia’s most recognisable track and field athletes, having won more international medals than any other Australian men’s sprinter. He has competed in three Olympic Games (2004, 2008 and 2012), in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, and in numerous world and Australian championship events.

After retiring from athletics in 2014, John has been working with young Australian athletic talent, as well as regularly hosting and providing expert commentary on sports programs including the Australian broadcasts of the Olympic Games. John’s appeal and profile extends beyond with high profile appearances on The Apprentice, Ninja Warrior and SAS Australia.

John’s charisma and ambition has made him one of Australia’s most famous and recognisable people.
