Young running enthusiasts came together to experience the thrill and atmosphere of one of Poland’s biggest running festivals at the Pho3nix Kids Marathon Poznań 2025, held last weekend.
Organised as an official side event to the prestigious Poznań Marathon, the Pho3nix Kids Marathon took place the day before the main race, allowing children to share in the excitement and spirit of the city’s largest sporting celebration. The event featured four age-appropriate distances to ensure accessibility and enjoyment for all: a 100-metre dash for toddlers aged 1–4 (running hand-in-hand with a parent or guardian), 400 metres for ages 5–7, 800 metres for ages 8–10, and a 1-kilometre race for ages 11–14.
Every young athlete had the unique opportunity to cross the same finish line as the adult marathoners, adding to the sense of pride and achievement for both the children and their cheering families. The sight of smiling faces, high-fives, and triumphant finishes reflected the event’s true purpose — to inspire a lifelong love for sport and movement.
The 2025 edition reached full capacity with 1,000 participants, a testament to the strong and growing enthusiasm for youth running in the nation. Beyond competition, the event fostered values of fair play, perseverance, and community, aligning with the Pho3nix Foundation’s mission to encourage children to be active and confident through sport.
the Pho3nix Kids Marathon Poznań once again proved that sport can bring generations together, from the youngest runners taking their first strides to parents and spectators cheering them on. It was a weekend filled with energy, laughter, and the joy of movement — a perfect prelude to the main marathon day.
