Tomasz Kaczor

He started kayaking in May 2000. He was encouraged to take up the sport by his dad. He faced his biggest dilemma in 2018 when he was left destitute and had to go to work in England on a turkey farm. While working, he got a call from a coach who was the Chinese national team coach at the time, he offered him a job as his assistant which he took. After 5 months he returned home to compete in the national team qualifiers and won. At the first World Cup, held in Poznan, he won two bronze medals and a week later repeated at the World Cup in Duisburg. At the European Games he won the first gold medal in the Poland history of men's kayaking. At the World Championships he managed to win a silver medal in the C1 1000m.
